Research Activities
The research is focused on Lyme Borreliosis (the first ultrastructure of Borrelia burgdorferi in the skin was demonstrated and published in co-operation with the National Laboratory for Lyme Borrelisois, the role of Borreliae in morphea and Ehrlichiae in cutaneous manifestations of Lyme Borreliosis are studied recently). Other research activities include extracorporeal photophoresis (introduction of this method for therapy of mycosis fungoides in the Czech Rep.), skin tumors, vitiligo, lymphology, psoriasis and pharmacotherapy.
